Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 27, 2026 · Last updated: September 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how NAND2Tetris (com.sparkbyte.nand2tetris) (“the App”), operated by the developer of this listing (“we”, “us”), handles information when you use the App on Android via Google Play.

1. Summary

2. Information we process

2.1 On your device

The App stores learning progress, preferences (such as theme), and whether you purchased Remove ads, using on-device storage (for example SharedPreferences / local database). This data stays on your device unless you back it up through your OS or Google account backup features.

2.2 Advertising (free version with ads)

When ads are shown, we use Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect and process information such as:

This processing is governed by Google’s policies. See Google Privacy Policy and AdMob & data. You can limit ad personalization in your device settings (for example Google Settings → Ads).

If you purchase Remove ads, the App stops requesting and displaying ads.

2.3 In-app purchases

Optional one-time purchases (such as Remove ads) are processed by Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation that a product was purchased or restored so we can unlock the feature. We do not receive your full payment card details. See Google Payments privacy.

2.4 Firebase

The Android build may initialize Google Firebase (for example Firebase Core). Firebase may collect standard diagnostic or instance identifiers as described in Firebase Privacy. We do not use the App to sell your personal information.

2.5 Information you send us

If you contact us (for example via GitHub), we will use the information you provide only to respond to your request.

3. How we use information

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data may be processed by service providers listed above (Google AdMob, Google Play, Firebase) under their terms, solely to operate ads, billing, or app services.

5. Data retention

On-device progress remains until you clear app data or uninstall. Advertising and purchase records held by Google are retained under Google’s policies. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to help you.

6. Children

The App is an educational tool. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through our contact channels, contact us and we will delete it. Parents and guardians should review AdMob and Play settings appropriate for their household.

7. Your choices

8. International users

Service providers such as Google may process data in the United States or other countries. By using the App you understand that such transfers may occur subject to those providers’ safeguards.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
