NAND2Tetris
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the NAND2Tetris mobile
application (com.sparkbyte.nand2tetris) (“the App”). By
downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not
agree, do not use the App.
1. The App
NAND2Tetris is an educational application inspired by the Nand2Tetris course ideas: building a computer from basic logic up through software, including a Tetris-style capstone experience on the simulated machine. The App is provided for personal learning and entertainment.
“Nand2Tetris” and related course names are associated with the educational project at nand2tetris.org. This App is an independent learning product and is not an official publication of the Nand2Tetris authors or Coursera unless expressly stated.
2. License to use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, through Google Play, for lawful purposes consistent with these Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, redistribute, or reverse engineer the App except where law allows
- Circumvent license checks, ads removal, or Google Play billing
- Use the App for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
- Misrepresent the App as an official Nand2Tetris course product
3. Free features, ads, and purchases
The App may be offered free of charge with advertising. An optional one-time in-app purchase may remove ads. Prices are shown in Google Play at the time of purchase and are billed by Google. Refunds are handled under Google Play’s refund policies.
Purchases unlock digital features only. They do not transfer ownership of the App’s intellectual property.
4. Educational content
The App is for learning. We do not guarantee that completing levels equals academic credit, certification, or employment outcomes. Content may contain errors; use your own judgment.
5. Third-party services
The App may use Google Play, Google AdMob, and Firebase. Your use of those services is also subject to Google’s applicable terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages or policy changes.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. By using the App you also acknowledge that policy.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP OR IN-APP PURCHASES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR ZERO IF YOU PAID NOTHING).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed.
9. Changes and termination
We may update the App or these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We may suspend or discontinue the App or your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law or platform rules.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country apply.
