NAND2Tetris
Request account and data deletion
You can request that we delete your NAND2Tetris account and associated cloud data. Sign-in is optional; this page applies if you created an account with email/password or Google Sign-In.
How to request deletion
- Open a new GitHub issue on nand2tetris-legal Issues with the title Account deletion request — NAND2Tetris.
- Include the email address used for your account (or the Google account email you signed in with).
- Write clearly that you want your account and associated data deleted.
Alternatively, contact the developer via github.com/EtanaAlemu with the same information. We will verify ownership of the account before deleting.
We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days of verifying the request.
What we delete
- Your Firebase Authentication account for NAND2Tetris
- Cloud course progress stored in Firestore under your user id (completed levels, lesson progress, saved circuit drafts/snapshots synced to the cloud)
- Account email associated with that cloud profile
What may be kept or is outside our control
- On-device data (local progress, preferences) remains on your phone until you clear app storage or uninstall the app. Deleting the cloud account does not wipe your device automatically.
- Google Play purchases (for example Remove ads) are managed by Google. Refunds and purchase records follow Google Play policies; we cannot erase Google’s billing records.
- Advertising data collected by Google AdMob (if you used the free version with ads) is handled under Google’s policies and may be retained by Google according to their retention periods.
- Backup / security logs held by Google Firebase or Google Play may persist briefly for security, abuse prevention, or legal compliance, then expire under those services’ policies.
After deletion
You can keep using NAND2Tetris as a guest. If you sign in again with the same method, a new account may be created without your previous cloud progress.
